Is there a Doctor in the house?

Today we're looking at one of the more amazing teachings that Jesus has given the church. It shows His heart for those who are hurting and also shows what the heart of the church should be for each other and the lost. The passage is Mathew 9:9-26 where we see Jesus minister to a sinner, a woman crippled by disease and a father whose daughter has died and whom he raises from the dead.

Matthew 9:12-13 sums up the good news of Jesus. "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: I desire mercy, not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

Life with God starts by recognizing your need for Him. You can not make yourself worthy of God's love. He loves you and accepts you when you reach out to him and say, "I need you". For He has not come to call the righteous, but sinners. Humble yourself and He will meet you. Then you will have joy as Matthew, the sick woman and Jairus and daughter did. Pastor Rob
