P.O.K.I.T.S. - Autism Support
POKITS (Parents Of Kids In The Spectrum) is a parent support group for parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
POKITS is run by volunteers, who also have children with ASD. At POKITS meetings, we discuss behaviours, give and receive advice, share our experiences, and occasionally have speakers come and give a presentation. Our parents have a vast wealth of knowledge and understanding. There is no better wisdom, than from those who have walked the same, or similar path to you.
POKITS members are a truly inspiring group of people who are coping with some tremendous challenges, but still inspire and encourage others. Privacy is highly respected and we expect that discussions at meetings be kept in the group. POKITS doesn’t claim to have all of the answers but we promise to listen, care and share our own experiences to help those families in need of support.
Meetings are held on the 1st Monday of every month, except in January. For more information on POKITS and details about the meeting location please talk to Susie or Renee or send us a message using the 'Contact Us' page.
